The editors of the Journal of the National Congress of Historians follow the Copyright Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan and relevant international agreements.

Authors publishing in this journal agree to the following:

  • Authors reserve the right to distribute the work in accordance with the terms of the Journal's self-archiving policy (see details).
  • Authors have the right to make their work available on the Internet (e.g., institutional repository or personal website) prior to and during the review process of this journal, as this can lead to productive discussion and more citations (See The Effect of Open Access).
  • Work published in the journal will be distributed in print and electronic form by subscription or open access under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) as determined by the publisher or under a separate agreement between the publisher and the author team.

The manuscript sent by the authors to the Editorial Board is accepted for publication only by the decision of the Editorial Board and the Editor-in-Chief. In their decisions, the Editorial Board and the Editor-in-Chief rely on the reviewers' conclusions obtained during the review of the article. Details about the review procedure can be found here.

The exclusive license transferred by the authors allows the publisher to use the work in the following ways:

  • - reproduction of the Article or its separate part, as well as metadata of the Article in Kazakh, Russian and English languages in any material form, including paper and electronic media as a separate work in journals and/or databases (local or on the Internet) of the Publisher and/or other persons, at the discretion of the Publisher;
  • - distribution of the Article or its separate part, as well as metadata of the Article in Kazakh, Russian and English languages in any medium in the the Journal and/or databases of the Publisher or other persons, at the discretion of the Publisher, or in the form of an independent work all over the world on the terms of open access or subscription without payment of remuneration to the Author;
  • - make the Article or a separate part of it, as well as metadata of the Article in Kazakh, Russian and English available to the public in such a way that any person may can access the Article from any place and at any time of his/her own choice (including via the Internet);
  • - authorize the use of the Article and its separate parts, as well as metadata of the Article in Kazakh, Russian and English languages to third parties with notification of the Author thereof by posting the relevant information on the Journal's website without payment of remuneration to the Author;
  • - other rights not expressly granted to the Publisher under this Agreement, including patent rights to any processes, methods or techniques and other described by the Author in the Article, as well as rights to trademarks, shall be retained by the Author.
